Dear Plant Health Community,
We are excited to share the third announcement for the 17th International Congress of the Mediterranean Phytopathological Union, titled “New Phytopathology Frontiers of Research and Education for Plant Health and Food Safety,” which will take place at CIHEAM Bari, Italy, from July 7 to 10, 2025. The registration and welcome reception of this event will take place in July 6 at the Kursaal Theater, Bari.
We are pleased to announce that the details of the Keynotes and Concurrent Sessions are now available on the Congress website:
Don’t miss out the early bird registration, which closes on April 30, 2025.
We also remind you that the abstract submission deadline is March 31, 2025. Abstracts can be submitted through the registration page, and if accepted they will be published in the MPU journal, Phytopathologia Mediterranea.
Additionally, we would like to remind you that young scientists (students and early-career researchers under the age of 35) will be eligible for a significant reduction in the registration fee. In addition, CIHEAM Bari is offering free registration to the first 15 registered ‘former students of CIHEAM Bari IPM Master and MSc programmes’ (gala dinner and excursion costs are excluded).
Please note that if you belong to an ‘MPU SOCIETY MEMBER’ (national phytopathology/plant protection society/association) or to an organization that is an “MPU AFFILIATED MEMBER” you may qualify for the reduced MPU membership fee.

We look forward to your contributions and to welcoming you in Bari for an inspiring and collaborative Congress.
